ABOUT
Founded the summer of 2013, The Eureka Community Players was created to bring back community plays to the area (The last community play was performed over 20 years ago). Debuting it's first play "The Butler Did It!" at the LCHS auditorium August 2013. The play was a success and with great responses from the attending audience, plans were already being made for future plays. With both new and experienced talent locally & from Canada, our international talent pool will continue to invite the community to a theatrical world that was lost, but not forgotten.
After evaluating the result, they decided to do a melodrama for Rendezvous 2014 (this tradition continues) and a second show earlier in the Fall. Enter the Fall play which has tried full-length plays, an evening of one-acts, dessert theatre, and now variety/fund raisers. In 2016, we added a Christmas show featuring children. In 2017, a play during the Quilt Show weekend was introduced. Both have been successes! We have all four seasons covered: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. As of Spring 2017 we became a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization.
MISSION STATEMENT: It is the purpose of the Eureka Community Players to produce dramatic, musical and other performing arts pieces of the best possible quality, for the enjoyment of the public. The primary means of achieving production quality shall be education and training of membership and public.
